Ein Prosit, “the band that only plays happy music”, is a group of musicians from Michigan, Indiana and Illinois who enjoy playing and entertaining with a variety of German, Austrian and Bavarian "Oktoberfest" style folk music. The band was founded in 2002 by John and Christine Griffith and currently has over 60 members.  Members of the band dress in traditional German trachten and strive to preserve a rich German musical heritage while providing entertainment for the entire family!

Practice and pleasure are our principal goals. Fun is the name of the game, enjoy, enjoy, enjoy.  Monthly rehearsals include a "beer break" and a "pot luck dinner" afterward.
